Culture Box Live is a multi-media and multi-sensory exhibition showcasing the importance of creativity for dementia care.
Culture Box Live is an exhibition based on the research findings and artist commissions from an pandemic-responsive arts and dementia project. The exhibition is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and supported by our project partners.
We will have a mixture of art, research findings, and hands-on activities for everyone to enjoy!
Culture Box invites you to our live exhibitions in Exeter and Stoke from the 17th January 2024. See below for the details of dates and locations. We can’t wait to see you there!

How do I get to the exhibition?
The exhibition will be at AirSpace Gallery in Stoke-on-Trent. The Gallery is centrally located in the Cultural Quarter, near to The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, Spitfire Gallery, and the Mitchell Arts Centre. There are bus stops near to the gallery with regular buses to Stafford Town Centre, Shrewsbury, and Chesterton.
I’m travelling by car, where can I park?
There are lots of car parks close by, including Pall Mall (Regent Chambers, 3 Pall Mall, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent ST1 1HP) and John Street (ST1 3BP). More informartion can be found on the Stoke Directory.
How do I attend a quiet viewing?
We will be inviting people to book tickets for quiet viewing as groups will be hosted and guided around during these times. You can book here.

We are visiting Positive Light Projects in central Exeter for 5 days! During our time in the city we will be showcasing research findings, artist commissions, hands-on activities, a selection of special programming, and much more. Our exhibition is multi-media, so expect to find audio and visual content, alongside multisensory activities to engage with.

How do I get to the exhibition?
The exhibition will be at Positive Light Projects (PLP), which is centrally located in Exeter. It is opposite the big John Lewis in the centre of the city on Sidwell Street. PLP was a retail space and has been transformed into a gallery and workshop!
There are bus stops close to the building with regular buses running from Central Station and Exeter St Davids, Marsh Barton, Alphington, St Thomas, Exminster, and more. For more information, please visit Stagecoach.
Across the road from PLP is a taxi rank which is well serviced by Apple Taxis.
I’m travelling by car, where can I park?
There is a car park behind the building called Bampfylde Street (EX4 6RD), more information can be found here. There are also other car parks a short distance from the venue, including the John Lewis car park (King William St, Exeter EX4 6PD) and Princesshay (24 Southernhay W Exeter, Devon EX1 1GN).
